- Anything with too high a fat content may give some problems because the oils or fat will not evaporate, only the water will.

Buying a freeze dryer in person gives you a better sense more info of how big it is, while you can also get hands-on advice from the professionals working at the store.
Because the freezing is fast, relatively few cell walls are ruptured which means it can be rehydrated with much less loss of quality.
The shelf life of canned and dehydrated food is approximately two to three years, while freeze dried food easily lasts eight to ten times as long.
AN8 male fittings are 3/4 X 16tpi. Should be able to get one that will work in this application. Also, there filters that use metric threads, might be easier to deal with.
This is why so many people are buying their own freeze dryers to use at home. The market is essentially cornered by Harvest Right, which isn’t a bad thing since their quality and customer service are both superb.
But Electrolux provides a so-so status for customer service. Electrolux aid is basically alright. If you live beyond An important metropolitan space, finding someone who can restore your device may be harder.

12 Posted September 16, 2015 You've given me an idea. I have the parts at the shop to use an actual filter head and a spin on filter. I could have a bracket laser cut and powder-coated that would hold the filter/head assembly horizontal which would allow it to completely drain and the outside of the filter would stay clean.
